Since he was young, Jeff Jakel has been concerned with fairness and looking out for others. This, along with his background in kinesiology, made becoming a personal injury lawyer a natural path for him. Since 2005, Jeff has been committed to helping people get the treatment they need as well as fair compensation for their injuries and losses.
Jeff grew up in Kamloops and left to earn a Bachelor of Human Kinetics degree at the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Law degree at the University of Saskatchewan. His studies in kinesiology have given him a unique understanding of personal injuries and their impacts as he represents clients suffering from all types of injuries, including soft-tissue/whiplash injuries, broken bones, spinal and disc injuries, brain injuries, mental health injuries and more.
Since articling with Gillespie in 2005, Jeff has also become a trusted general litigation and construction litigation lawyer. He has successfully handled negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations, and has appeared at all levels of court within British Columbia.
Jeff served on the Chris Rose Therapy Centre for Autism Foundation Board for 10 years, and he coaches both of his sons’ Kamloops Youth Soccer Association and Kamloops Minor Hockey Association teams. When he gets the chance, he enjoys playing hockey and golf.
