David was born and raised in Kamloops and has been an active member of the local community. He completed a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Chemical Biology from TRU, where he also captained the TRU Varsity Hockey team and was named an All-Canadian Athlete each year he played. After a brief stint in the mining industry, David attended TRU Law School and graduated in 2019. He joined Gillespie after spending the initial years of his career at a prominent international law firm based out of Vancouver.
David practices corporate and real estate law which includes advising clients on a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial issues, assisting with purchasing and selling real property and businesses, drafting and reviewing leases, contractual and statutory interpretation and various other land title and legal matters.
David takes a calm and strategic approach to solving legal issues. He strives to provide practical advice and looks forward to establishing strong and communicative relationships with his clients. He wants to understand his client’s goals and values their successes.
Outside of work, David enjoys travelling and spending time with his wife and two fun (but busy) young children. When he is not driving his kids around to their various activities, he enjoys playing any type of sport or researching for his new obsession – fantasy football.
