Marina was born and raised in Croatia. Growing up, her strong sense for fairness often prompted her family members to say that she would become an advocate. As a teenager, Marina moved to Edmonton with her mom and brother, where she later started her own family.
She first discovered her passion for law while she worked as an interpreter for the Edmonton Law Courts. Helping people navigate the legal system inspired her to become a lawyer. In 2017, Marina and her two kids moved to Kamloops and immediately fell in love with the breathtaking views and the community. She earned a Juris Doctor degree in Law at Thompson Rivers University and decided to make Kamloops their forever home.
Marina’s background in business administration and a rich articling experience at Gillespie set a strong foundation for her legal practice. Her portfolio consists of a wide range of commercial matters, including business law, real estate, and leasing. Marina is a co-author of a published legal article, and a co-developer of a legal help app. Her creative solutions, use of plain language, and friendly attitude make her approachable and easy to work with.
Marina is an animal lover. She supports numerous animal charities and spends all her free time with her two adopted rescue dogs. Family is most important to Marina. This is why she joined Gillespie –this brilliant, family-oriented team makes it feel like home.
